Caitlin Braysford is nearing the end of her Year in Industry placement in the QA Department at JSP. She will be returning to University next year to finish her Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Whilst at JSP we encourage our placement students to apply for The Contribution to the Business Awards. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their placement projects and present on skills they have learnt. Caitlin has made brilliant contributions to the business and here she is receiving her certificate at the regional heat in London today.
Caitlin subsequently won the awards for Environmental Impact and for Innovation. An excellent outcome for an outstanding year so far.
Caitlin has been a valuable asset to JSP and will be increasing her skills by completing a month’s unpaid placement in Beijing this August. This will give her invaluable experience within the engineering sector, as well as something unique to talk about, in term making her degree stand out from thousands of others.
To partake in this placement Caitlin had to raise funds to pay for her plane tickets. Through setting up a Go Fund Me page, Caitlin managed to raise £650 for her flights, with donations from colleagues, friends and Sky Sports Formula 1 pit lane reporter Natalie Jane Pinkham who also left a message of support saying:
Great that you are following your dreams. Hope they are fully realised x
The team at JSP want to congratulate Caitlin and thank her for her hard work throughout her placement. We wish her all the best for her future endeavours and are sure that she will continue to succeed in anything that she puts her mind to.
